Please feel free to use the following as a reflection, personal study, or for your Life Group. Please be sensitive to other views expressed.

Jesus called for us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and by doing so not to be anxious or worrisome in accumulating treasures and securities of this world (Matthew 6:33-34).

As we enter into a new year, what does "seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness" look like for you?

It's amazing to you know through our relationship with Jesus Christ (now deemed as God's children forgiven and right-standing with God) we may confidently approach God's throne room (Hebrews 4:16)! James 4:8 also says when we draw close to God he will draw close to us!

Being FORGIVEN and CREATED NEW BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, enables for us to draw into God's intimacy who is Spirit and Truth!

What thoughts / ideas come to your mind when reading these verses?

1. Why do we, as Christians, feel like our relationship with God is more long-distant than intimate?
(Further thought: What is feeding your spiritual life that's pouring into your soul-life?)

2. How does Satan try to feed your soul-life (pleasures of your senses)? How might this impact your spiritual life (reborn spirit in you that thirsts for God)?

3. Discuss and reflect upon the following principles that will feed your spirit and soul:
A) Let the Presence of God's Word Captivate Your Spirit.
B) Pray the Presence of Gods' Will into Your Soul.
C) Share in the Presence of Christ's Suffering to Rise Up in His Glory.
D) Place ALL Your Worth as LIVING WORSHIP to God (Romans 12:1-2).

Author & Pastor Rob Reimer shares how our intimacy with God is the very means that allows us to touch heaven to change earth.

You are forgiven in Christ and granted ACCESS into God's intimate presence! May God's indwelling presence through the Holy Spirit continue to make Christ and the Father's love known on earth!

Living in His presence,
Pastor Trevor
