Mother's Day Message: Faith in Crisis (2 Kings 4:1-7)

I. Introduction
•life corners you and you feel you are crumbling apart
•God has a plan for your crisis

II. God Is Aware Of Our Problems (v.1):
God is aware of this mother’s:
•DESPAIR deeply grieving with a broken heart
•death of her god-fearing husband (lover, provider, protector)
•DEBT is placing her sons into slavery
•devotion seeking God’s guidance

III. God Releases Our Potential (v.2-5)
•recognize and present your EMPTINESS (what do you need & what do you have)
•recognize what God has already provided
•TRUST in the next steps as guided by God (godly counsel)

IV. God Multiplies Our Limited Resources (v.6-7)
•from nothing to everything when God is in it
•God keeps his PROMISES
•God stands ready to give as we take the next steps to believe

V. Conclusion
•Offer to God what you have even when not much (give in faith and watch God multiply)
•God is all-sufficient to meet our every need (2 Cor. 12:9; Phil. 4:19; 2 Peter 1:3)
