1. John's age is considered to be in his 80's or 90's. At such an age, what is John called to do for Jesus? What are the implications for you?
2. When you often think of seeing Jesus what vision comes to mind? What descriptions does John use to describe Jesus?
3. What was John's reaction? How would you react if Jesus made Himself visibly present to you today?
4. How does Jesus describe or identify Himself? What is His POSITION (where is Jesus, vv.12-13a)? Who is Jesus as a PERSON (vv.13b-16)? What is His POWER (vv.16a, 18)?
5. What power does Jesus have over one's life and death?
