REFLECTING UPON THE WORD WRITTEN (Scriptures)
1. PRAY FERVENTLY: Pray for the Holy Spirit to open your heart to receive God's Word.

2. READ SLOWLY: Ps.27:1-2; Is.41:10; Job 1 & 2; Matt.14:22-33; Rom.8:28; Tim.1:7

3. REFLECT DEEPLY: Did any verses specifically stand out to you? Consider writing them down and any implication/application God may be pressing upon you.

REFLECTING UPON THE WORD SPOKEN (Sermon)
1. What FEAR(S) are you being faced with?
2. What would you consider healthy fear vs. unhealthy fear?
3. How would you discern whether or not the Enemy is trying to place fear into your heart?
(F.E.A.R. - False Evidence Appearing Real)
4. When looking at Job's horrific tragedies how did he still reveal his faith and trust in God (Job 1:20; 2:10; James 5:10-11)?
6. What steps will you take to lay down your fears to Jesus? Read Isaiah 41:10 and ask your Heavenly Father to help remove the fears and anxieties you may be carrying. Invite Jesus to place His abiding peace into your heart (John 14:21). (F.A.I.T.H. - Forsaking All, I Trust Him). Remember God is working for you (Rom. 8:28), will you trust Him?

QUOTES:
"...it (fear) erodes our faith, plunders our hope, steals our freedom, and takes away our joy of living the abundant life in Christ. Phobias are like the coils of a snake - the more we give in to them, the tighter they squeeze. Tired of fighting, we succumb to the temptation and surrender to our fears. But what seemed like an easy way out becomes, in reality, a prison of unbelief - a fortress of fear that holds us captive." - Neil Anderson

Evil intentions are to "destroy hope in and love for God." "Events within the world that bring about suffering are not inherently evil; they can, however, 'become' evil if they are giving the power to seperate the sufferer from the hope and meaning that emerges from faith and a providential understanding of and relationship to God." "Any action that separates people from God has the potential to become evil." - John Swinton
