Sermon Outline For Your Spiritual Reflection

I. Introduction
• Jewish-Christians suffering various trials and temptations in their faith. Keeping faithful living for Christ is a difficult, long-suffering, and painful spiritual battle. How do spiritually weak and wayward believers find spiritual restoration & renewal to live for Jesus Christ?

II. Pray to the Lord in Your Suffering
• Commit your suffering into the cares & comforts of the Lord. Keep in prayer, not in profanity.

III. Praise the Lord for Your Cheerfulness
• God’s people sing praises for His good, just, holy, and loving ways.

IV. Receive Prayer in Your Weakness
• Spiritual soul-sickness (e.g. habitual sins, unconfessed sins) may lead to physical sickness. Not all physical illness is a sin issue with God.
• Call upon your spiritual leaders to pray over you. Confess any unconfessed sins. Be anointed. Receive God’s forgiveness. Be raised up (spiritually strengthened/restored) in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

V. Powerful Practices of a Church Prevents Spiritual Sicknesses
• Keep in healthy fellowship with other trusted believers to prevent sin-secrets .
• Humbly embrace the prayers of those spiritually strong and upright with the Lord so you may be spiritually strengthened and restored in your fellowship with God.

VI. Dead-Faith Restored!
• Pray and gently confront spiritually-defeated believers who have wandered away from Christ.
• The sins of a wandering believer will be fully forgiven and his or her life spared from the discipline of death.

GROWING DEEPER WITH GOD THIS WEEK
1. How did God speak specifically to you through this message?

2. What makes it worth the cost to keep faithful to the Lord?

3. Where are you being tempted to compromise the integrity of your faith-walk? Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you courage and boldness to keep faithful to God, which brings glory to Christ.

4. Have you accepted a certain habitual sinful lifestyle? How is this impacting your spiritual relationship with God and others? May you be encouraged to talk with a trusted spiritual leader or a fellow believer who may lead you into a time of confession, repentance, and prayer of renewal.
