I. INTRODUCTION
A. Who is this King? What is to be of His Glory?
- people follow Jesus for various reasons (eg., rabbi Jesus, political Jesus, militant Jesus, humanitarian Jesus, etc.)
- the Hosanna crowd expects King Jesus to conquer Rome and reign in peace
II. BIBLICAL CONTEXT
A. The Glory of Jesus
- His surrendered life to His Father and sacrificial death on the cross for our sins.
B. Spectator-Follower to Servant-Believer
- dies to self-life for Christ’s-life in us
- denies the tempting ways of the world for God’s Holy ways
- takes up one’s cross to follow Jesus however He leads
- will be honored by God
III. IMPLICATIONS/APPLICATIONS/REFLECTIONS
- What hour of God’s Glory is upon you?
- What areas in your life need to die so new growth may follow?
- Where is Jesus asking you to go, say to others, or commit to?
- Spend time this week reflecting upon the Cost of Christ’s love for you.
