1. Read Genesis 42-45
2. Did anything stand out for you? How might God be speaking to you through these chapters?
3. What makes forgiveness and reconciliation with others so difficult?
4. How did Joseph react/respond when his brothers bowed down to him? Why do you think he decided not to reveal his identity at this time?
5. Why did the brothers and their father have such a difficult time accepting Joseph's gift (eg. returning their silver back to them)?
6. What change in character do we see in Joseph's brother (eg. Reuben, Judah) in their time of testing?
7. SERMON PRINCIPLES:
a. Godly reconciliation carries godly REMORSE which leads to confession/repentance.
b. Godly reconciliation LOVES.
c. Godly reconciliation FORGIVES the offender releasing them of any guilt.
8. Who do you need to forgive and find reconciliation with? Ask the Lord what the next steps need to be in making this happen.
