Why does God want all your devotion upon Him (i.e. trust, obedience, worship, holy living)? What makes this difficult? What makes this possible?

Pray for the Holy Spirit to help bring wisdom, understanding, and application from God’s Word into your life situation. How are these verses speaking to you?
III. APPLICATION – from divided to devoted heart for God
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, who or what have I placed above you? What actions and thoughts have I embraced that I need to remove so I may fully trust, obey, and, desire you above all? (Take time to listen to how God speaks to you. What pressings / ideas / thoughts are coming to your mind?)
Thank you Lord for making these things known to me. Forgive me of such ways against you. Please place your peace upon me, equip, and empower me by your Holy Spirit to follow your good and holy ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
